Oyster Fest

Paddy’s Oyster Fest is a celebration of all that is Irish. Offering everything from freshly farmed Oysters to Guinness straight from the keg, this is one Portland fest that you will not want to miss.

From 11:00 am on Saturday, October 17th at Paddy’s on 1st and Yamhill, our tented street festival hosts Guinness bars; Champagne stations; Oyster booths and so much more.

The main tent offers Oysters of all flavors and sizes. Try BBQ or Rockefeller with a side of Champagne or Guinness, these decadent delectables will definitely enhance the festivities.

We’re not forgetting our Whiskey lovers and Paddy’s is offering the Talisker drizzled Oysters – this mouthwatering aphrodisiac is a rare treat for any occasion.

The entertainment starts early with bagpipers, followed by Oyster shucking competitions; fun for the kids and foot tapping Irish Dancers to keep you on your toes.

For all those Oyster lovers, be sure not to miss the presentation from our Oyster farmers, or practical instructions on how to prepare the Oysters from our top chefs.

Golden Pearl Competition, 11am
Keep your eyes peeled for one of the “Golden” oysters at the counter. If you’re lucky enough to get one of these, you’ll find a jewel quality pearl inside.

Kids Entertainment Mini Pearl competitions, 12pm
face painting, oyster touch pool, educational booth and a surprise appearance from our furry sea friends!

Oyster Presentation, 12pm
Meet our Oyster Farmers in person and see what it takes
to produce these tasty delicacies

Irish Dancing, 1pm
See our World Class Award Winning team of Irish Dancers from
the An Daire Dance Academy.

Blaine Larson live on stage, 2pm
Chart playing American Country Singer Blaine Larson will be performing on stage, with songs like ‘How do you get that Lonely’ or ‘It Did’ this is going to be a boot tapping event.

Irish Bagpipers, 3pm
Bagpipers have been playing in Ireland since 1581, so in strong Irish tradition Paddy’s once again brings this heritage back to life.

Radio DJ on stage, 4pm
KINK, KUFO and KUPL have partnered for this great event, stay tuned for a fun day!

Oyster shucking & eating competition, 5pm
Teams of 2 compete for the chance to win a weekend away.
Definitely not for the slow eater!

Ravishers live on stage, 6pm
Portland’s favorite Indie Rock band is back on stage! Playing their latest album ‘Singles for Singles’ this is definitely a band that will get you moving.

Irish Dancing, 7pm
Th e World Class Award Winning team of Irish Dancers take to the stage.

Radio DJ Raffle on stage, 8pm
Surprises for our audience at Oyster Fest for KINK, KUFO and KUPL.

St James Gate live on stage, 9pm
The Celtic inspired quartet specializes in wide range of Irish music. Loads of fun and terrific music will have you dancing around like the Celtics of olde days…

Lone Bagpiper, 12pm
The Lone Bagpiper will gracefully bring in the dawn of a new day.
